Hải Phòng port posts strong revenue growth in first half of 2019
HẢI PHÒNG — Hải Phòng Port Joint Stock Company recorded impressive growth in both revenue and cargo output via its seaports in Hải Phòng during the first six months of this year, according to the company.
The company, a member of the Việt Nam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines), received total cargo volume of more than 一 三 million tonnes and gained total revenue of VNĐ 八 五 二 billion (US$ 三 六. 三 million) in the first half of this year, Nguyễn Tường Anh, deputy general director of Hải Phòng Port JSC, was quoted as saying by Giao thông (Transport) newspaper.
Those figures were up by 一0. 五 per cent in cargo volume and 一 五. 一 per cent in revenue from the same period last year, he said.
According to a Hải Phòng port representative, the company has been improving the capacity of loading and unloading equipment, including through the application of information technology.
At the same time, it has strengthened relations with prestigious shipping lines around the world to open service lines directly connecting to its seaports in Hải Phòng.
Hải Phòng Port JSC is one of the biggest seaport enterprises in Việt Nam. With the ownership of major ports such as Tân Vũ, Hoàng Diệu and Chùa Vẽ, the company holds more than a 四 二 per cent market share of loaded and unloaded goods in Hải Phòng.
